Ami Paris, the French ready-to-wear brand, has launched its very first childrenswear collection, called Ami Kids, building on its signature Ami de Cœur line.
The brand calls its expansion into childrenswear a “natural addition” to its current offer, which encompasses men’s, women’s, unisex and accessories.
The new line is designed as a “wardrobe of timeless unisex essentials” and features knitwear, hoodies, shirts, t-shirts, sweatpants, cardigans, beanies and caps, made with cotton and wool. The collection also reflects the brand’s signature colour palette of grey, beige, green, navy blue, light blue and black, as well as striped patterns.
It also builds on the brand’s classic Ami de Coeur line, which features the brand’s logo – an ‘A’ topped with a heart, which was originally designed by the founder Alexandre Mattiussi and served as his signature on letters, sketches and drawings ever since he was a child.

“Designed for everyday life, the collection accompanies children as they explore, play, build friendships and create memories, while offering comfort, freedom of movement and effortless style,” the brand shared.
In May, the brand opened a 1,259 sq ft pop-up store at 135 Sloane Street in London’s Chelsea, which is set to run for 18 months, coinciding with the brand looking for a new permanent location following the closure of its Mayfair store at 75 Duke Street after a decade of trading.
The Ami Kids line is now available to shop at the Sloane Street pop-up, along with the new AW26 men’s and women’s collections.

Ami Paris was founded in 2011 by Mattiussi, who has previously designed for the likes of Dior Homme, Givenchy, and Marc Jacobs. In 2012, the brand received its first external investment from Bpifrance’s state-supported Fashion and Finance fund, according to a recent Vogue Business article.
Later, NEO Investment Partners led a funding round, followed by Sequoia Capital China in January 2021, which then became a shareholder, as well as Felix Capital.
In April, the brand also revealed Portugal and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfield maestro João Neves as the face of its new SS26 campaign.
