ASOS reshapes senior team as two executive vice-presidents depart

ASOS has confirmed that Ben Blake, EVP Customer & Commercial, and Przemek Czarnecki, EVP Technology, will leave the online retailer on 31 August 2026.

The departures form part of changes to ASOS’ senior team as the business moves beyond work on legacy issues and its new commercial model to focus on growth and customer delivery.

ASOS has begun a process to appoint permanent successors. In the interim, Chief Financial Officer Aaron Izzard will also serve as EVP Customer & Commercial, while Rasila Vaghjiani, EVP People, Communications & Transformation, will take on the EVP Technology remit.

The retailer said Blake and Czarnecki had made valuable contributions during a period of transformation, supporting organisational changes and the delivery of its strategic priorities.

ASOS said the departures would not affect its overall direction, with the business maintaining its focus on faster execution, growth and customer delivery.

Existing executives take on interim roles

Izzard became ASOS’ CFO and an executive director on 1 July 2025, succeeding Dave Murray. He had already spent more than eight years in financial roles at the retailer, including Director of Commercial Finance and Director of Group Finance, before being appointed CFO.

His expanded responsibilities will place the customer and commercial function under the CFO while the search for Blake’s successor continues.

Vaghjiani will combine responsibility for technology with her existing remit across people, communications and transformation. Her responsibilities had previously expanded to include transformation as ASOS progressed with its turnaround programme.

The departures follow several appointments across ASOS’ trading, customer and creative operations during 2026.

Former Amazon executive Lizzie Jones recently joined as Global Head of Trading, returning to the company where she began her retail career as a footwear buyer. She reports to Natasha Jeffers, who was appointed to the newly created position of Managing Director of Global Trading.

ASOS also appointed Rina Lipa as its first Style Dilemma Director, a customer-facing role focused on occasion-based fashion edits across its app and website. In June, the retailer named former Stella McCartney visual lead Andrew Tiller as Creative Director.

The leadership changes come as ASOS continues its turnaround under Chief Executive José Antonio Ramos Calamonte. ASOS has 17 million active customers across more than 100 markets and reduced its operating loss by 52% to £100.9 million in the six months to 1 March 2026, despite lower revenue.

ASOS attributed part of that reduction to operational efficiencies, including warehouse optimisation and renegotiated logistics contracts. The retailer now aims to turn that restructuring work into sustained growth and improved customer performance.
