British womenswear brand ME+EM increased revenue by 29% to £190 million in the year to January 2026, while EBITDA rose 53% to £37 million, as its expanding US business helped drive growth.
Summary of results
- Revenue up 29% to £190 million.
- EBITDA up 53% to £37 million.
- US revenue up 39% to £65 million, helped by three new stores.
- Highland Europe increases its shareholding.
- First permanent Paris store due in the second half of 2027.
- Gross profit climbed 28% to £105 million.
- Operating profit increased 30% to £26 million over the 12-month period.
The results build on the previous financial year, when revenue rose 24% to £147.9 million and EBITDA reached £24.2 million. US sales increased 61% to £47.3 million in FY25, before rising a further 39% to £65 million in FY26.
The US now accounts for just over a third of ME+EM’s revenue, with growth supported by online sales and three new store openings, including locations in Greenwich, Connecticut, and North Beverly Drive, California.
The brand said all its US stores had been profitable in their first year of trading and delivered significant like-for-like growth in their second. Its active US customer base increased 285% between FY24 and FY26, while its VIP customer base grew 393% over the same period.
ME+EM has also expanded its offering across trousers, accessories and occasionwear. It said 46% of customers placed a second order, which it puts at 25 percentage points above the industry average, while almost half of its active customers purchased trousers.
Growth investor Highland Europe has increased its shareholding in the business, having first invested in ME+EM in 2022, leading a £55 million fundraise intended to accelerate international expansion, with the US identified as the initial priority market.
ME+EM said its revenue and EBITDA had more than tripled in the four years since the investment.
“The American customer has caught on, and we still see significant runway in the US market,” said Helena Richardson, Partner at Highland Europe.
More recent trading figures point to continued momentum. Global revenue for the 12 months to September 2026 rose 24% year-on-year to £215 million, while US revenue increased 48% to £84 million.
In Europe, online growth has been led by Germany and France, where year-to-date FY27 revenue increased 96% and 35% respectively.
“Strong revenue growth, and accelerating demand for our clothes globally, tells us there is a genuine appetite for our British modern luxury proposition,” said Clare Hornby, founder and CEO of ME+EM.
The brand currently operates 11 stores in the UK, alongside concessions at Harrods and Selfridges in London, and seven stores in North America. It expects to open three further US stores by the end of 2026.
In 2027, ME+EM plans to open its first permanent store in Paris in the second half of the year, alongside a store in Houston and a second location in Los Angeles. The company said further US sites were also in progress.
