Cult Australian denim brand One Teaspoon is set to return to the UK market for SS27 via Just Now Distribution, which in turn has appointed Janice Tassell of JT Brand Studio to handle wholesale sales for the UK & Ireland.
Founded in Sydney in 2000, One Teaspoon was previously stocked by Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Harrods, Topshop, ASOS and Urban Outfitters and is a favourite of celebrities and style icons including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Zendaya, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid.
The ‘No Plans’ SS27 collection offers premium denim alongside elevated ready-to-wear pieces, combining signature washes and modern silhouettes, with T-shirts retailing at £55-£90, denim shorts at £130-£150, jeans at £160-£260 and jackets at £200-£460.
Juls Dawson, founder of Just Now Distribution, said: “One Teaspoon built a strong following in the UK throughout the 2010s, particularly during the premium denim boom. While the brand has continued to be available internationally through selected global online retailers, it has not had a dedicated UK distribution partner or consistent wholesale presence for several years, leaving a gap in the market.
“We’re seeing renewed consumer demand for authentic brands with genuine heritage and recognisable DNA. Fashion continues to cycle back towards premium denim, relaxed silhouettes and early-2000s influences – all areas where One Teaspoon has genuine credibility rather than simply following a trend.
“At the same time, UK retailers are looking for brands with a clear identity and proven international recognition. One Teaspoon arrives with over 25 years of history, global distribution and strong cultural relevance, making now the ideal moment to reintroduce it to British consumers.”
Janice Tassell added: “I am very excited to be working with the One Teaspoon and Just Now Distribution teams as this is a great opportunity to relaunch the collection in the UK and Ireland.”
The SS27 collection will be showcased at The Fashion Huddle at 26-28 Hammersmith Grove in London from 13-22 July, before moving to the JT Brand Studio showroom at Fashion House in Islington from 23 July.
Earlier this week Just Now Distribution announced it has been appointed, along with Luke Distribution, as commercial partners of US heritage workwear brand Dickies for the UK and Ireland.
The joint venture will see Just Now Distribution lead all sales, wholesale development and market expansion activity for Dickies, supported operationally by Luke Distribution, led by Simon Poole, whose business brings significant expertise in logistics, finance, warehousing and systems integration.
