Pandora appoints new CFO to succeed long-serving finance chief Anders Boyer

Pandora has appointed Paulo Garcia as its new Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Anders Boyer, who will retire after more than 14 years at the jewellery giant.

Garcia will join Pandora on 1 October and assume his new role on 1 December, with Boyer remaining until 31 March to support the transition, according to WWD.

He brings extensive experience from Walmart Mexico and Central America, where he has served as Chief Financial Officer for more than five years.

Chair Peter Ruzicka said the appointment follows “robust succession planning” alongside Chief Executive Officer Berta de Pablos-Barbier.

De Pablos-Barbier described Garcia as “the ideal candidate to further strengthen and build on Pandora’s financial performance” thanks to “an excellent track record and deep financial expertise from senior roles in the consumer goods industry”.

Prior to his role at Walmart, Garcia was CFO for Europe and Indonesia at Ahold Delhaize. He began his career at Unilever, where he spent more than two decades in senior finance roles, culminating in his appointment as CFO for Europe.

Commenting on his new appointment, Garcia said he looked forward to unlocking “the next phase of growth” for a company he described as having “an attractive and unique business model with industry-leading margins and very high cash generation”.

He joins Pandora following a series of leadership changes over the past year. Chief Executive Officer Alexander Lacik retired in March, with Chief Marketing Officer Berta de Pablos-Barbier succeeding him.

The company also named David Boynton, former Chief Executive Officer at The Body Shop, as Managing Director for Northern Europe, after spending nine months as Interim General Manager for Pandora’s Central Eastern Europe team.

Most recently, Pandora appointed André Branch as President of North America. Branch brings more than 25 years of experience across global consumer, beauty and lifestyle brands, joining the company from his position as CEO of R.E.M. Beauty.

As President of North America, Branch is leading Pandora’s next phase of growth across the region, reinforcing North America as a key strategic growth engine for the business.
