Designer label Roksanda has appointed Simon Valer Dacsef as Head of Design, as the business continues to strengthen its leadership team under CEO Patricia Sancho following its acquisition by The Brand Group (TBG).
Dacsef joins Roksanda from Stella McCartney, where he most recently served as Head of Flou, a role in which he oversaw unstructured and draped womenswear, including dresses and blouses. Prior to that, he spent more than four years as Senior Womenswear Designer at JW Anderson, following a five-year tenure at Marni as a Ready-to-Wear Womenswear Designer.
Executive search firm Mode announced the appointment on LinkedIn, describing Dacsef as bringing “a wealth of experience across some of the industry’s most respected luxury fashion houses”.
The firm added: “Simon has built an impressive reputation for his creative vision, craftsmanship and innovative approach to womenswear design. His talent and leadership make him a natural fit for this role, and we’re excited to see the continued evolution of the brand under his creative direction.”
The appointment comes as Roksanda continues to build out its leadership team under Patricia Sancho, who joined as Chief Executive Officer in January. Sancho became the first CEO appointed under the brand’s new owners, The Brand Group, following its acquisition of the business in May 2024. At the time of her appointment, Roksanda said Sancho would lead the brand through its next phase of growth and global expansion.
Founded by Roksanda Illincic in 2005, the London-based label has become known for its sculptural silhouettes, bold use of colour and modern womenswear collections. Illincic continues to lead the creative direction of the business while Sancho oversees its commercial strategy and future growth.
Dacsef’s appointment marks the latest step in that strategy, strengthening the brand’s creative leadership as it looks to build on its position in the contemporary designer market and support its next phase of international expansion.
