Saucony dethrones ASICS as fastest-growing sneaker brand on StockX

Saucony has dethroned ASICS as the fastest-growing sneaker brand on global online marketplace and resale platform StockX, seeing a 239% increase in sales on the platform in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025.

This was revealed in StockX’s latest Big Facts report, which measured activity on the marketplace from January to June 2026, compared to the same period in 2025.

Saucony builds on performance-lifestyle demand

Saucony’s sales more than tripled year-on-year, up 239% compared to the same period in 2025, driven by demand for its ProGrid Omni 9 and ProGrid Triumph 4 models, which sit within the performance-lifestyle running category that has supported growth across several challenger sneaker brands. In comparison, in 2025, Saucony sales on StockX increased 59%.

ASICS may have been dethroned by sneaker rival Saucony, but it remains the platform’s fourth-largest sneaker brand, with StockX noting the new data shows “more of a normalisation than a collapse.”

Vans sees price premium surge

Vans followed Saucony by one percentage point, with sales increasing by 238%.

Notably, Vans’ average resale price on StockX jumped from $102 in 2025 to $180 in 2026. Meanwhile the average price premium – the percentage buyers pay on the resale platform above the retail price – also increased sharply, from +12% to +69%, making it the biggest premium expansion of any sneaker brand in StockX’s ranking.

The resale growth comes during Vans’ 60th anniversary year. Parent company VF Corp. has supported the milestone with a global campaign focused on the Authentic, the deck shoe introduced in 1966 and later adopted by skateboarders.

Nike-owned Jordan sneakers meanwhile saw a recovery in sales, ranking the ninth fastest-growing sneaker brand with 6% sales growth. The average price also increased by 5%, with retros leading the way, including Jordan 5 Retro Wolf Grey, Jordan 11 Retro Gamma Blue, and Jordan 4 Retro Black Cat.

Driven by soccer-related hype, Adidas sales surged 687%, making it StockX’s fastest-growing apparel brand. Its average resale price also rose from $122 to $153, while its average price premium swung from roughly flat to +23%.
