In Pictures: Karen Millen unveils new premium footwear collection with Carvela

Hot on the heels of launching its collaboration womenswear collection with Harper’s Bazaar this week, Karen Millen has now put the focus on footwear with a partnership with Kurt Geiger-owned brand Carvela.

Bringing together two British brands, the collaboration champions women who require “footwear that is designed for versatile seven-day dressing, effortlessly taking you from day to night”.

Luxurious leather and suede run through the collection. Key styles include the ‘Eliza’ ankle boot (£169) in leopard-printed calf-hair leather, with a pointed toe and high stiletto heel, and the ‘Heidi’ knee-length boot in beige or black suede (£219).

Designed for “fashion-forward women”, there are also statement leopard-print slingbacks and elegant satin heeled mules, while intricate embroidery, delicate mesh and considered embellishments bring an elevated finish to other styles.

The collection is available on both the Karen Millen and Carvela websites from 5pm on 8 October, as well as at select Carvela locations across the UK from 9 October, including on London’s Oxford Street, at Westfield White City, at Gateshead’s Metro Centre and at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, as well as within the Kurt Geiger space at Selfridges.

The launch expands on Karen Millen’s recent return to the high street, following the launch of three UK concessions in TFG stores in August.

It also follows the 30-piece capsule AW26 collection in partnership with Harper’s Bazaar under a UK licensing deal with the women’s fashion and lifestyle magazine’s publishers, Hearst UK.

Curated by the Harper’s Bazaar UK fashion team, the ‘Beyond the Season’ collection has been designed for seven-day investment dressing with pieces that can be styled in multiple ways.

Drawing on Karen Millen’s specialist categories, including tailoring, outerwear, occasion dressing and elevated separates, the collection “celebrates the enduring codes of British style through a modern editorial lens”.
