British luxury house Temperley London has appointed Morgaine McGee as Chief Executive Officer and Jack Isenberg as Design Director, completing its leadership team ahead of a new collection in September.
The appointments follow the departure of founder and Creative Director Alice Temperley earlier this month. McGee replaces Sarita Jha, whose tenure as Interim CEO recently ended, while Isenberg will lead the house’s design direction.
Founded in 2000, Temperley London is known for hand embroidery and occasionwear. The London-headquartered business sells internationally through its stores, e-commerce operation and wholesale partners.
Morgaine McGee takes the CEO role
McGee brings more than two decades of experience across apparel and accessories, including responsibility for design, product development, production and operations.
Her previous senior leadership positions include Co-Chief Executive Officer of product development and manufacturing business The Vertical Collective, which she co-founded. and Managing Director of accessories company Signal Brands.
Earlier in her career, she worked at RT Sourcing USA on design and product development for luxury houses including Dior, Chanel and Givenchy.
McGee said: “This marks an exciting new chapter for Temperley London as we bring a fresh perspective to the brand, while honouring its legacy, our rich British heritage as well as our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.”
“The brand has created timeless pieces, beautifully created to celebrate women and the moments that shape their lives. I am aware of that history, what people expect of the brand and will work to ensure that continues.”
Jack Isenberg prepares September debut
Isenberg joins Temperley London from Tom Ford after a career spanning luxury ready-to-wear and couture. A Central Saint Martins graduate, he began his career at Valentino and later held senior design positions at Giambattista Valli, Versace and Nina Ricci. He also held the positions of Head Designer at Ralph & Russo and Design Director at Jenny Packham.
“What drew me to this house is its commitment to craft. The embroidery, the finishing. These are things that can only be done by people who know how,” Isenberg said.
“It has been great to start working with the talented team here and continuing to bring the quality and craftsmanship that women across the world have come to expect from Temperley London.”
His first collection for the brand will be presented in September.
The leadership changes come two and a half years after Times Square Group LLC and its investment arm, Luxutte Capital, took a majority stake in Temperley London in November 2023. Alice Temperley and then-CEO Luca Donnini stayed in their roles at first after that deal.
When confirming her departure on 8 July, Alice Temperley said the company had been her creative home for more than two decades. She plans to establish an independent creative practice, with further details to be announced.
